The initial position of checkers

Tcheckershough the game looks a bit complicated at the beginning, what helps it is the unending popularity just like chess.

You will hardly find a grown up, not knowing the rules of chess, though it is not simple.

Same way for Backgammon!

The board is designed with 24 spires with the flat end based in one end of the board. There are 15 checkers each side and two players play the game. Both the players count the spires from their ends such that the 1st spire for one player is the 24th spire for the other.

Both the players pose five checkers on their 6th spire, three checkers on the 8th, five again on the thirteenth and the rest two on the 24th and last spire. The positioning has been done with the idea that the spires of both players do not overlap.

Backgammon is played with a couple of dices alternately rolled.
